Chiropodists are foot specialists within the province of Ontario and some other parts of the world. The practice of chiropody is the assessment, treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunctions of the foot by therapeutic, orthotic or palliative means. Our chiropodists will assess the mechanics of your feet and determine whether you are a good candidate for custom made orthotics. Custom made orthotics are medically manufactured insoles specific to the individual and modified according to particular foot demands. Chiropodists also perform footwear recommendations, drug prescriptions, nail care, callus removal, fungal care, treatment of warts, diabetic foot assessments, wound care, foot sports medicine, administering injections as well as nail and soft tissue surgeries of the foot.
